High School

The High School and the College Preparatory Program (Grades 9 – 12, plus and available post-graduate year) has two curricula for both average-ability and honors-level cadets. There are dual-credit and advanced placement (AP) courses available for cadets who are ready for the challenge of college-level work while completing high school.

Many of our cadets attend MMA to improve their study skills, personal discipline, and post-high school opportunities. The structured environment includes extra help sessions in the mornings before classes, monitored study halls in the evenings, an active learning center where cadets can receive regular tutoring, and small classes that offer personalized attention from the instructor. Members of both the Academy’s Delta Phi Academic Honor Society and the National Honor Society tutor fellow cadets who are having academic difficulties.

The Academy’s teaching staff is comprised of an experienced, diverse body of professionals dedicated to the intellectual and ethical development of each cadet. Indeed, our instructors, through their words and actions, promote academic achievement and character education on a daily basis. Over seventy percent of our teachers have their master’s degrees.

The Academic Dean oversees the academic curriculum and is responsible for developing a course of study suitable to the academic goals of each cadet. By offering cadets an appropriate schedule, coupled with an active college placement office, one finds more than ninety percent of cadets accepted to the college of their choice.

Our English-As-A-Second Language Program strives to place our international cadets in basic English courses with the intention of improving their English skills. Our ethnically diverse student body benefits all cadets since it adds to the diversity of the corps, enriching their educational experience.

Along with the required core subjects, courses in Business, Art, Music, Computers and Military Science are also offered.
