| Missouri Military Academy’s Middle School is a close-knit neighborhood where a young man can develop the confidence he needs to flourish in school during his early adolescent years. Since 1933, the Middle School has helped boys in grades 6-8 to develop academically, physically and socially as they learn to become more personally responsible. The MMA Middle School’s small classes and dedicated teachers offer the perfect venue for young boys to maximize their potential. The curriculum centerpiece is a "Reading Culture" that helps boys with reading problems, while it challenges good readers to become better. The required athletic program offers every boy an opportunity to participate and gain physical skills while learning teamwork. The school’s electives emphasize the development of boys’ creative talents in the fine arts, while refining their social skills. The MMA Middle School has it own barracks with adult
leaders who have been chosen for their positive role modeling. These
resident advisors supervise and teach group interaction skills, while
training cadets to keep their rooms and schedules in good order. The
Middle School has its own military program that teaches the fundamentals
of leadership, drill, marksmanship and orienteering.
