One of the main
focuses of the Middle School's academic program is reading improvement.
Using the Accelerated Reader Program, students have access to
comprehesion tests for each of the 3,000 fiction and non-fiction
books housed in the Middle School library. A year-long ARP competition,
culminating with the Battle of the Books, challenges cadets to
improve their reading skills while testing themselves against
the skills of their classmates. The Middle School prides itself
on its newly updated computer lab, Fluent Reader and English-
in- a- Flash software programs , SmartBoards, AlphaSmart mobile
computer system, and fully equipped science lab. |
